About Us

Cartwright Elementary School District is located in Phoenix, Arizona and serves more than 19,000 students in 20 schools. We have 12 kindergarten- 5th grade elementary schools, 4 elementary schools serving students in grades kindergarten-8th grades and 4 middle schools with students in grades 6-8. Our District employs approximately 2,600 people of which more than 1,000 are highly qualified and certified teachers.

We offer a variety of programs to benefit our students including FREE breakfast and lunch and FREE all-day kindergarten. This year we will be adding pre-school and Head Start programs to prepare younger students.

The Cartwright District values technology and the importance of its use in the classroom. We provide Dell Chromebooks and iPads for students to use in conjunction with their lessons.
