LeeAnn Lawlor

Dr. LeeAnn Aguilar-Lawlor was appointed as the Superintendent on March 6th, 2019. She is the first female Superintendent of the Cartwright School District. Dr. Aguilar Lawlor joined the Cartwright team in February 2012. She has twenty-nine years in education including serving in three districts as a teacher, assistant principal, principal and currently as an Assistant Superintendent. She served in the United States Air Force Reserves as a Staff Sergeant and was activated during Operation Desert Storm to serve overseas as a medical specialist.

She earned her Bachelors in Education at the University of Arizona, Masters in Educational Leadership at the University of Phoenix and her Doctorate of Education in Leadership and Innovation at Arizona State University. She is married and a proud mother of two amazing children, Gabriela and Maximo. One of her most gratifying experiences was serving as the first principal of Rio Vista School, in the Pendergast School District where she served in this capacity for ten years. In this position, she facilitated a professional learning community of teachers and parent organizations that helped them become a high-achieving school, including earning an "A" rating by the Arizona Department of Education in 2012. As the Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, she leads the following departments; Language Acquisition, Special Services, Response to Intervention and Accountability, Data Management and Assessment, Professional Learning Communities (PLC) and Science, Engineering, Technology and Math (STEM) and Teaching and Learning.

Dr. Aguilar-Lawlor believes collaborating and ensuring all stakeholders have continuous opportunities to provide input and share ideas is extremely important. She also believes all students are capable of high academic success and our responsibility is to prepare all of our students to be college and career ready.

Dr. Rebecca M. Osuna is the Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services. She joined the Cartwright School District in 2011. Dr. Osuna spent 8 years as a Bilingual Education primary teacher and 17 years as a school administrator, serving as both Principal and Assistant Principal. She received her doctorate from Northern Arizona University in Administrative Leadership and her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. Dr. Osuna believes parental participation is key when it comes to children succeeding in the classroom. "Parental involvement is important in developing a student who will be successful in life. By building upon the good in people with who we work among and the strengths of the organization, I believe that the educational community will be successful in accomplishing the ultimate goal of student achievement." - Dr. Rebecca Osuna.

Ema JaureguiEma Jáuregui

Ema Jáuregui began her career teaching in a K-8 school. She continued her teaching experience as a middle school teacher at Estrella Middle School. She entered school administration as the assistant principal of a preschool. Then she served as an assistant principal in a K-5, K-8 and a middle school for 6 years. She spent 6 years as the principal of our school John F. Long Elementary. Ema also served as the director of STEM/PLC for 3 years.






Zeek OjehZeek Ojeh, CPA, MBA

Zeek Ojeh joined the Cartwright Executive Team in 2011. He has more than 30 years of experience in a variety of executive positions. In 2010, Arizona's Governor appointed him to serve two terms on the state-wide Arizona Manufactured Housing Board (MHB). In 2012, the Arizona Legislature confirmed his nomination to serve on the Board of Arizona Housing Finance Authority (AzHFA). As the Chief Financial Officer for Cartwright, he is responsible for directing the financial and auxiliary affairs of the district, and managing the following departments: Business Services, Technology, Food Services, Transportation, Buildings and Operations, Energy Education, Federal Programs and Grants and Risk Management. Prior to this position, he was President/CEO of ZKO, Inc., mediator for Maricopa County Justice Courts, a franchise for Wendy's Hamburger Restaurants and budget officer for the City of Phoenix. He earned a Master's degree in Business Administration from the famed Thunderbird, School of Global Management and a Bachelor's degree in Economics. He's a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and a Certified Financial Services Auditor (CFSA). Mr. Ojeh believes in giving back and actively participates in community service.

Dr. Edward Murphy joined the Cartwright Team in 2010, having served the Glendale Union High School District for nearly four decades, as a teacher, dean of students, principal, and Human Resources Director. During his tenure as principal, Greenway High School was designated a National Blue Ribbon School, and the Arizona School Personnel Administrators Association named him Personnel Administrator of the Year in 2002. Dr. Murphy holds B.A., M.A., and Ed. D. degrees from Arizona State University. He strongly believes that an organization's people are its most valuable asset.



Patricia LopezPatricia Lopez

Patricia Lopez has more than 34 years of experience as a teacher and administrator. She has taught special education, regular education and ELL. She was an assistant principal of a K-6 school, principal of an elementary and middle school, the Director of Teaching and Learning and currently is the Executive Director for School Leadership. Patricia has done extensive work in professional development with teachers and school administrators in the areas of curriculum and instruction and Visible Learning. She has also worked as a facilitator with governing board members and served for 10 years as a Governing Board Member in her home district. Patricia is a former foster parent, surrogate parent for students in foster care who needed special education services and is currently the founder of the Krystal Lopez Memorial Scholarship Fund, which serves to provide scholarships to teens fighting cancer. Patricia’s passion is to improve learning for all students and provide support to teachers and administrators so that they can grow professionally and create great schools for our families. Patricia believes in the power of teachers, parents, and administrators working together to provide students with high quality and well-rounded education. She has studied the work of John Hattie and believes in the philosophy that we are "Evaluators of our Own Impact."

Her Vision as the Executive Director of Leadership: To provide principals with support and help them grow as strong instructional leaders on their campus and create a culture and climate that includes high quality and well-rounded educational experience for students, professional growth for teachers and a welcoming environment for families


Veronica SanchezVeronica Sanchez

Veronica Sanchez is an Emmy award-winning former journalist. Before she came to Cartwright to serve as Director of Communications and Community Engagement, she had a long career in television news. She was the consumer reporter at the NBC affiliate, Channel 12 in Phoenix and also reported in Las Vegas, NV, and Fresno, CA. Veronica is passionate about communications and loves to tell the stories of Cartwright students.

Christine Santos has been in the Cartwright School District, since February 2006. She is currently one of two Executive Assistants to the Superintendent and Governing Board. Christine is passionate about serving the community of the Cartwright School District and loves working in education to assist students and their families.

Linda Parker is the Executive Coordinator for Superintendent Dr. LeeAnn Aguilar-Lawlor. She has been with the district since 1987 and has served the district and the community in several positions over the years.
